Tuesday afternoon we headed to visit Justin's Grandma McCreadie - the boys call her Nana Sue - who lives in Arcadia (about 1.5 hours from Disney).
On the way there, we saw this
A Mickey Mouse ear shaped power pole
When we got to Nana Sue's house, we all sat and visited for a while and the boys gave her the pictures they had brought for her. After a while, the boys headed outside to try and catch some little lizards (they are all over the place in Florida). Justin sat and talked with his Grandma while I shifted between participating in the conversation and checking on the boys outside. Lucas was a baby when we last saw Justin's grandma, so we definitely had some catching up to do.
After we visited for a while, we all got in our car and Justin's grandma gave us a tour of her community. Justin remembered some things, but many things had changed as well. We then headed over to Chile's Restaurant. Nana's birthday was last week and we told her we wanted to treat her to a birthday dinner. Justin said he was interested in trying Chile's and his grandma said it was one of her local favorites. I think one of the biggest hits of dinner was the homemade chips and salsa, which were all you can eat. Hayden and Tanner took most of their food home with them because they filled up on the chip and salsa.
After dinner, we headed back to the house and took a walk down memory lane as we looked through old scrapbooks and picture albums. Justin enjoyed hearing stories about family members. The boys especially liked seeing the picture books with their pictures. They thought it was funny to see themselves as babies. : )
When it was time to head out, Nana told the boys that she enjoyed getting letters in the mail. All the boys promised to begin writing her notes and mailing them to her along with pictures of what they've been up to.
