Epcot was next on our agenda.
We first headed into Innoventions to let the boys get some energy out through hands on fun.
Lucas and Hayden like the one where you pulled the rope, which pulled back a big hammer. When you let go of the rope, the hammer (with a rubber tip) swung back and smashed into a television screen. A counter kept count of how many times the screen was hit before it cracked. The number was pretty high and no cracks yet : )
Tanner and JJ liked the one where they controlled giant magnets to lift a metal drum. You then released the magnet and the drum crashed down onto a firefighter's helmet. This was supposed to show how durable and sturdy their helmets need to be to protect their heads.
The boys then headed over to sign onto the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure. They were recruited as secret agents and given orders to report to Italy in 20 minutes. Villains had taken over several countries in Epcot and agents were needed to hunt them down and bring them in. When we arrived in Italy, the boys were ushered back to a secret meeting place to pick up their Kimmunicator. This was their secret agent phone that would keep them in contact with mission control and would give them clues to completing their mission.
Disney thinks of everything because they also added a special ring tone that meant it was time to hand the phone over to another agent in your family. The agent recruiting said that sharing was a big part of being a good agent : )
The boys first mission was to assist in finding the villain who was terrorizing Germany. We headed their and the boys first clue was to find the train display in the one store and watch for a clue. The clue came in the form of a three-digit number which the boys entered into their Kimmunicator.
We then headed outside the store to await the next clue for the mission.
One of the instructions sent us to this miniature display of a German village. The clue was found on and around the village clock tower.
After receiving word that the villain was turning people into zombies in the town square, the boys were instructed to look for the clock outside yet another store in Germany.
With this step complete, the boys were instructed to look above the store across the street.
The villain had been flushed out and apprehended!
With the mission a success, they were given confidential instructions on where to place their Kimmunicator for pickup by the mission control agents.
While we traveled through Epcot some more, we stopped in Mexico and went on the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Callaberos:
The boys thought it was hysterical that Donald Duck was being used as the pinata!
After we completed our fiesta tour, we got a few minutes of R&R as we took the monorail to Magic Kingdom. The boys have never been on a train, so they thought this was very cool!
