Tanner turned 10 and unfortunately, this giant milestone was overcast with baseball, baseball, and more baseball. Between his two teams (1 regular Little League and 1 tourney team) plus his two brothers playing Little League, we struggled to find a night to celebrate for him.
We decided on this past Friday and invited family with the understanding that Fridays are tough to carve out of schedules. We had pizza, chips, cupcakes, pie, and ice cream. I think everyone enjoyed themselves. It turned out to be a beautiful night!
Tanner received many great things...a badmitton set, water balloons and a cool ball to throw them in, spy gear, a savings bond, a nice collared shirt, a wal-mart card, money.... The boy definitely got quite a bit to keep him happy.
My Uncle Brad made Tanner the happiest boy on the planet when Tanner opened his last gift -

And then there was my dad..."testing out" the bike we got for Tanner.
For the guy who used to sleep through all family parties,
my dad was full of energy that night.
He even managed to wrangle up a bicycle posse!'
The kids had a great time riding around the yard and driveway.
They thought it was even more fun because Papa Bud was doing it with them!
