Today marked a first in the annual Wise family Thanksgiving gathering...we were not able to use the Springfield Firehall due to renovations being started. However, we were blessed to still find a place in Grove City that we could make work, the VFW over by Bi-Lo. By my best count there were about 76 people there. Good food, conversation with family, a pick-up football game, and some crafts for the kids made for a great time!
Girls versus boys!! The girls sat pretty while the boys had a wild game of touch football!
My mom's biggest fear was that with the hall being so much smaller than we are used to that we wouldn't all fit and it would be horrible weather and the kids would just not be happy. However, we made the smaller space work out all right (although I'm sure we'll all be glad to be back to our usual spot next year) and the boys were happy to play football in the parking lot next door. However, my mom had planned some crafts, Thanksgiving knot pillows, for the kids to make. The girls were the first to enjoy craft time and some of the boys slowly made their way in to make a pillow too.
Uncle Tom is always interested in the next generation of Wise's. This year's addition was little Adam. You can't tell from this picture, but he has blue eyes that are sure to break hearts one day. He enjoyed playing with Uncle Tom and he loved Justin's pink camera!!
Jason and Ian
Grandma Wise, Lisa, Tommy, Grandpa Wise
Emmy and her Louie!
Boomie, Paige, Tanner, and Lucas had a little game of catch of their own.
And last but not least....
You go home and take a nap.
Your belly is full of food, your heart of full of the love of family,
and your body is just exhausted from it all!
Until Christmas when we all meet again...
