I pulled out my sewing machine today because a body pillow I made the boys a few years ago split a seam and was spilling it's fluff everywhere. While I had my sewing bin open, Hayden became interested in the various fabrics I have. He asked if he could make a puppet. I let him pick the fabric and he helped me cut the shapes for it's eyes and mouth. Then he helped me push the pedal to sew it up. This is what he came out with and he was pretty proud of himself.
After Hayden had a puppet, Lucas of course wanted a puppet. He's been fixated on cats lately, so he chose to make a cat. And of course, as with anything, you get more creative the more you make. This is the cat I came up with for Lucas.
Then came JJ...
He wanted a dog, but not a puppet. He wanted a pillow. He was very good at pushing the button to help the sewing machine back up, but other than that he was more interested in playing his DS than actually helping create his pillow. Here's what I came up with for him.
Ha-ha!! If nothing else, we had fun this morning.
