It's good to have roots. Roots created in a faith in God are most important but roots established by family are second. I'm proud that my roots include a family farm that keeps drawing us home. My Grandpa Blair's tractor and its presence at his funeral provided a little visual of those roots.
When you're honoring the man who modeled hard work and a strong work ethic for his family, it only makes sense to pull out the work boots/ barn boots as he's transported to his final resting spot. Six grandchildren as pallbearers, each representing the family of one of the six kids, and my dad on Grandpa's tractor leading the processional through town.
