We spent Memorial Day Weekend this year at our newest camp of choice - Deer Valley YMCA Camp. My parents again blessed us all with a great weekend away. It was the usual Wise family crew (excluding Brad's family), and we added on Deb Stapley, Bryce's friend Jake, and Curtis Haines and his family. We had a blast together!
There's so much to do, so these pictures will just give a small glimpse.
Archery was a hit and was a good break while other activities were closed down during a rain storm.
A little competition between Papa Bud and Lucas resulted in a come-from-behind win by Lucas.
The grin on his face was priceless and the shock on my dad's was even better.
The pontoon boat rides were enjoyed by all.
Meal times were always fun with the fun prayer songs and the fetching of the food.
The kids especially enjoyed being able to head to the kitchen to pick up the food for each table.
Hayden decided to participate in the talent show and had his juggling balls ready to do the "3 Things" presentation he learned at JIM Club. He did a great job and I think everyone really liked it.
Landry was a fan of the walky-talky or "her phone". I couldn't convince her it wasn't a phone and that she had to hold the button to talk.
We went for a walk one day to fossil field and actually found a few really cool fossil rocks.
Lucas took this opportunity to prove himself as king of the mountain. Blair gave him a run for his money though.
The high ropes course is a family favorite. The peanut gallery adds some additional fun with their "friendly" jabs toward the person making their way through the course.

Or, better yet, the gallery is also available to offer to catch the weary climber as seen here by Tanner offering to catch Justin if he falls. (Don't worry - harnesses are worn and no one can actually fall).
The swinging stairs can look daunting to those with not-so-long legs.
But a little perseverance (and yelling from the peanut gallery) gets them across.
The swaying boat crossing, sliding carriage, and log cross are part of the course, too.
Tanner spent a good portion of his time on (or in) the lake fishing.
He especially liked this spot where there was a rock just out into the lake that was big enough for him to stand on.
Last, but not least, of our adventures was the zip line that almost everyone participated in.
We had a blast and are excitedly looking forward to spending Labor Day Weekend here, too.
