We had a great Fourth of July weekend. I was off on both Friday and Monday, and Justin was able to take off Friday, Saturday, and 1/2 day Sunday so we were able to camp all weekend at the pond. David, Erin, and the boys camped as well and it was a very relaxing weekend. For the first time, the four "big" boys slept in a tent. The did very well and actually went to sleep!! No late night slumber party talking for them. They were too tuckered out : ) The weather wasn't the best, but it was peaceful and that's all that matters. The pond is my retreat...where I can simply relax and worry about nothing.
Saturday we had a big picnic and all the family was there (except for Brad and the kids...Haley had a softball tourney). We ate (alot!!), played volleyball, the kids swam, I read a book (no big surprise there), and we enjoyed each other's company.
To add the the weekend fun, I bought a used dune buggy in need of some Papa Bud TLC. He worked his magic and except for a muffler (so it was very loud), the dune buggy ran great and the kids loved it! It was muddy from all the recent rain, which made it all the more fun!! The kids would come back absolutely covered from head to toe.
And, Mo received the second haircut in his short 2 1/2 year life span! And he asked for an "o hawk" to be like Tanner. So, Mo got a mo-hawk and he loves to tell everyone about his "o hawk"
