Chores

We finally assigned a chore chart for Tanner and JJ and it's amazing how well it's working. They are both responsible for making their bed and keeping their room clean each day. Tanner is responsible for unloading the dishwasher whenever it's done being run throughout the week and JJ is responsible for taking out the trash whenever it's full throughout the week. Then, on Saturday, Tanner is responsible for dusting the living room and JJ is responsible for sweeping their bedrooms (he loves sweeping so we bought him his own dust buster stick vacuum). Today, I asked Tanner to take out the trash because he was standing beside it and JJ came into the kitchen just as Tanner was tying up the bag. He was very upset that Tanner was taking out the trash because it was HIS job!! Oh, my golly...fighting over chores?? JJ had to be soothed by being told to take the now tied up bag to the road with the rest of the garbage awaiting pick up tomorrow morning. Oh, there are some days when motherhood is so rewarding. Fighting over chores...I might begin to like this.
