And now a word from the nature channel...
To give you a break from the history, here are some of the things that caught my eye while we visited the battlefield. To remember the history and imagine the chaos that took place at this spot, yet to see such peaceful images in that same spot is a bit conflicting. However, it was nice to take in God's creation, while we revisited man's battles.
I dubbed this the "battlefield buttercup"...the battlefields were covered with them!
and last but not least...(drum roll please)...

Justin and the boys found these two beetles. One was carrying a piece of food and my husband being the child that he is decided to see if he could get them to fight over the food. So he grabbed them, held them toward each other and being the bad beetles that they were, they proceeded to pinch each other with their pinchers while Justin and the boys rolled with laughter!
