Christmas Tree Decorating

Today, in the spirit of seeing Santa, we dug out the tree and "non-fragile" ornaments and the boys were set loose. A tradition passed from my great-grandmother that my mother passed to me is bubble lights. The boys love them! I hope they some day make them an addition to their tree as they carry on the bubble light tradition! And yes, that is a gate around it...better safe than sorry!

Hayden didn't much care for putting ornaments on the tree. He was too busy blowing bubbles!


Lucas...his first year of helping decorate the tree!


JJ was excited to "refind" all the ornaments he's made over the years!


Tanner made himself the boss of tree decorating. He made sure everyone did it to his specifications.

The boys worked together really well. Tanner and JJ were quite excited that I let them do most of it themselves this year. I've decided that it isn't about what your tree looks like, even if it looks rather helter skelter...it's about the memories of decorating it and the time spent together doing it.
