My parents always come down on Christmas Eve late morning to bring their stockings full of gifts for us and spend some time playing with all the new toys. Here are a few of this year's favorite gifts:
The one theme for their gifts this year was games. They bought Deal or No Deal for Tanner, Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader for JJ, Jr. Monopoly for Hayden, and Zingo for Lucas. And, as usual, each boy got a couple scratch off tickets to play. Hayden won $7 and Lucas and Tanner each won a free ticket. The boys love to have family game nights, so the board games were perfect.
Another thing my parents got for the boys were placards with their favorite Steeler.
Tanner got Polamalu; JJ got Wallace; Hayden got Ward/Bettis; and Lucas got Harrison.
They then got fun new hats to keep them warm and entertained at the same time.
Lucas first thought the little mitten parts would make good boxing gloves. Then he decided they were better used to store the gummy lifesavers he got : )
After all the present opening, we had a great time playing the games. We learned we are definitely not smarter than a fifth grader, are not very lucky in picking the million dollar case, and Lucas and Hayden can't stay attentive to a game of Monopoly for a long period of time.
However, Lucas found that he really likes when Boomy comes over to play with his new cars on the kitchen floor.
We had a great time talking/visiting with my mom, dad, and brother and we all enjoyed the gifts we got. The boys also got some spending money and are eagerly thinking about what they want to spend it on. Thanks mom and dad!!
