Happy birthday Hayden, Lucas, and Haley

For Christmas, my mom bought me a new cake pan that can be used to make letters, numbers, and shapes out of cakes. It has metal square spacers that are used to separate out what you want your cake to be. Hayden, Lucas, and Haley have been sharing a Wise family birthday gathering for a few years and they have shared a cake in the past. This year Hayden and Lucas wanted their own cakes and this was my chance to try out my new pan.
Lucas and Haley's were made of cake mix and Hayden wanted his to be a jello jiggler 'H'.
This is what the cakes looked like after I poured the batter. You can see the spacers here.
This is the cakes after they've been baked and the spacers have been removed.
Haley requested purple icing and Lucas asked for orange. The boys helped decorate the cakes.
The jello jiggler was another project in itself, but it turned out pretty well. Hayden wanted lime jello with whipped cream dyed green as the icing.

All four boys...in one space...getting along. Imagine that?

I love Lucas' face in this one!

This is a big giant marble, mouse trap of sorts. Just my sort of thing - over 330 pieces!!
Oh, yes! We went straight home after the party and put it together.
Thanks to my grandma and the turkey in her freezer that "needed to be cooked", we had a fantastic turkey dinner in January. My grandma and dad each made a turkey (my parents had a turkey that "needed to be cooked" as well), Justin made mashed potatoes, I made stuffing, Joy brought veggies, and Brad brought the beverages. MMM! Just makes me hungry thinking about it! I love that we are a family that truly enjoys spending time with each other.
