It began raining Monday night and did not stop at all on Tuesday. We deemed Tuesday to be "rest day". We spent quite a bit of time at the indoor pool. Then while Justin and Lucas napped, Tanner, JJ, Hayden, and I walked down to the gameroom in the community center at the resort. We played Uno and Dominoes. Apparently Hayden thinks that drawing four is a good thing in the game of Uno as he would do it everytime it was his turn! We then walked down to the house to see if Justin and Lucas were awake yet. We ate some lunch, then walked back to the gameroom to play some pool, air hockey, and pinball.
Because of the storm, internet service was sketchy yesterday causing Justin to be anxious most of the day about the two-hour exam for school that was to be posted at 7pm. Thankfully, at around 5:30 the internet service became a bit more reliable and Justin was able to relax. We had dinner at 6:30 and at 7 Justin disappeared downstairs to take his test. The boys and I finished up our dinner and then we had a chat about what we'd do for the next hour and a half while we needed to be quiet. They opted for 30-45 minutes of DS playing time and then we'd see what movie was on Disney Channel. It turned out to be Luck of the Irish, which is one of their favorites. We popped some popcorn, I had made some sweet tea earlier in the day, and we spread out the blankets for a campout.
Justin joined us later when he finished up his exam. He earned an 86, which is pretty good since his brain is currently in vacation mode. He still has an A overall in the class, so he's not disappointed.
Sorry this wasn't an exciting update, but our day was just spent resting and doing nothing.
Sometimes those are the best kinds of days!
