Memorial day weekend was a blast as usual. We started Saturday with a work day - getting things cleaned up and ready to go for the summer. My mom thought it was a good idea to fill the campers with mothballs to keep the mice out during the winter. All I know is that it took 24 hours+ for them to air out before they could be slept in for Sunday night.
The work was worth it when Sunday came around and everything was all set and ready to go for a day of picnic food and fun. Even the rain couldn't get us down!
David hates having his picture taking (must be genetic!)...
so I take great pleasure in taking lots : )
It doesn't even bother me that he tries to hide!
Backyard football is always a fun time for everyone
And time around the campfire is always enjoyed.
And then we go home and have to recover from our weekend of fun...
A little sugar to re-energize doesn't hurt.
This was also the first weekend we've taken Missy to the pond.
She was so well behaved...listened, stayed close, didn't fight with the other dogs, etc.
And when we got home on Monday night, she was downright pooped!
Lucas has some cute sunburnt cheeks : )
