The Annual McCurdy Christmas Tree Cutting

Every year, my kids and my nephews help my parents cut down their Christmas tree. And every year it's quite comical watching them try to cut it themselves before handing the saw over to either my brother or dad.

Here is Tanner and Wesley's first attempt. Cameron was apparently the spectator.

How many McCurdy grandsons does it take to cut down one Christmas tree?

All six of course!

Lucas was quite proud of himself to get to take the money to the man who owns the tree farm.

True to tradition, David stepped in to get the job done.

A little push from Dad, a little pull from Tanner

And away we go.

Every thing was going well as the boys loaded the tree onto the truck.

Until Cameron yelled, "STOP!" His insulin pump had become tangled in the tree when he helped carry it to the truck. We had to remove it from him while we untangled the tube and pump from deep in the tree's branches.

The boys favorite part of the whole thing?

Riding in the back of the truck with the tree. Good thing my parents only live 1/2 a mile from the tree farm.
