Lucas was in Kristen's wedding as the ring bearer on July 5. We drove down on the 4th and stayed through the 6th. We had a really great weekend. Here's a picture of him in his wedding duds :)
On the way home July 6 we stopped at the Catoctin Zoo and Wildlife Preserve just north of Frederick, MD. We had a nice morning together checking out the animals and picking up some turtle souvenirs (of course).
Lucas took his very first selfie that day with a tiger who was having a nice afternoon nap.
Then he handed the phone to me to take a selfie of the both of us with the tiger.
Lucas then got to spend Monday through Wednesday with his Grandma Cathy, living it up at the Everett's house and helping keep Grandpa Wise entertained. My grandpa loved waking up to see Lucas sleeping on the couch and then eating breakfast together.
Now it's Thursday and Justin took him to the Erie Zoo with Chuck and Deb.
Another selfie was taken - this time with a lion.
And no adventure is complete without a run-in with a T-Rex!!
And once you stop shaking after that encounter, you can then move on to a
less scary and definitely not life-threatening interaction with a sweet kangaroo.
