Double underwear

Scene:  In the car, driving back to Grove City from Cochranton where Lucas and JJ spent the weekend.  Listening to music and singing along.

Lucas:  I'm wearing double underwear!
Me:  Why?
Lucas:  Because.

Backstory:  For years, Lucas would never wear underwear.  He couldn't tell you why he wouldn't wear them, and I wasn't going to fight with him about it.  However, it drove my mom crazy and she'd make him wear underwear whenever he was at her house.

I called her tonight to say maybe she pushed the underwear a little too hard as he's now doubling up his efforts!
